New Knitting Pattern
New things are happening! I’m working on a knitted accessory pattern which will be published in about a week or so. The pattern uses an interesting and fun cable/lace stitch pattern that is surprisingly easy to execute.
I’ve been having a great time knitting the samples because they are done in gorgeous Koigu KPM and Mori yarns. Koigu yarns go through a special hand dyeing process which produces rich and vibrant colors. They have a soft hand, wonderful drape and hold up to repeated frogging. Many thanks to FoxyKnits.com for providing yarn support for this pattern.
This will be my first self-published pattern, so I am very, very excited. Here is a sneak peek.
New Crochet Patterns
Clotheshorse is going to release its Fall 2012 issue any day now, and my latest crocheted purse pattern will be included in the line up. This is going to be a fabulous issue, even more lovely than the first or so I have heard. Clotheshorse is a new publication, but they are already doing great work. I think we’ll see some exciting things from them in the future, including a few of my designs.
I am also working on an interesting project with Hand-Dyed Fibers. I am designing a crochet pattern with their unique process of blending strands of silk in various sizes, textures and colors. This project is proving to be a fascinating challenge and will be released in about a month.
Exciting things are in the works here. I am working hard on my craft and making some pretty cool projects. Stay tuned!
